Back in October we had our 2nd Annual Giant Pumpkin Contest. We began with 5 teams, as usual, but 3 of them met with various problems that hindered any growth. That left us and Shona and Ryan to duke it out. Last year we ruled all with our 69 pound miracle. But this year they crushed us, with 82 pounds of pale orange flesh. Their daughter Isla brought her own wee triumph to add to the pile.

Next year we shall prevail . . . .
